In the only gold mining village in the Alps, in Flei\u00dftal near Heiligenblut. Reconstructed to be like the original, the little settlement has been re-built on historic soil. After a visit to the village you can pan for gold in the Flei\u00dfbach, and who knows, you might even find a little nugget.<\/p>\n<p>The gold-digging village at the \u201cAlter Pocher\u201d, constructed in 16<sup>th<\/sup> century style at 1800 m altitude, today recounts the history of the miners who dug for gold between the 14th and 18<sup>th<\/sup> centuries. You can then borrow a pair of wellies, pick up a bowl and head to the Flei\u00dfbach. Gold-diggers provide you with the best tips on how to pan for gold professionally. \u2026 and then you can get going\u2026 a special experience with the family, as part of a group, or even by yourself!
