The roads that take you to the Hohe Tauern National Park all head through superb landscapes and breath-taking natural surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>There are several options available to you coming from the north. The A10 Tauern motorway takes you quickly and directly south, however it is also very popular and heavily trafficked at the start of the holidays and at end of the weekend. For a more bespoke journey, travel through Gasteinertal and in B\u00f6ckstein board the <strong>car train<\/strong>, which takes you safely and quickly via the <strong>car rail route to Mallnitz train station<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>IMPORTANT NEWS:<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u00d6BB-Tauern Tunnel is completely closed from 18.11.2024 to 14.07.2025 in case of urgent maintenance work.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Breath-taking views await <\/strong>too when you travel via the Felbertauernstra\u00dfe via the tunnel of the same name. Coming from the west you are best to travel via South and East Tyrol, through Pustertal. From the east you come to the Hohe Tauern National Park via the A2 south motorway and \u2018Knoten Villach\u2019.
