The Gold Rush will inspire you too! In the only gold mining village in the Alps, in Fleißtal near Heiligenblut. Reconstructed to be like the original, the little settlement has been re-built on historic soil. After a visit to the village you can pan for gold in the Fleißbach, and who knows, you might even find a little nugget.

The gold-digging village at the “Alter Pocher”, constructed in 16^th century style at 1800 m altitude, today recounts the history of the miners who dug for gold between the 14th and 18^th centuries. You can then borrow a pair of wellies, pick up a bowl and head to the Fleißbach.
